Star Wars IV: A New Hope is a wonderfully entertaining film that is unique in its setting, and opens up a new world for viewers due to its use of CGI.

Other films that are in the same vein as Star Wars IV: A New Hope are movies such as Star Trek, Green Lantern, and Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

Star Trek marketed their USP by positioning themselves as a new and enhanced version of the old films of the series.
The Green Lantern movie was marketed by being positioned as a space opera that was comparable to the Star Wars franchise.
Close Encounters of the Third Kind positioned itself as a film that explored the concept of aliens visiting the earth, which while not the same as Star Wars, contains the same feel of wonder as Close Encounters.

Unlike Star Trek, Star Wars IV: A New Hope gives you a brand new setting, as well as a complete new use of CGI.

Star Wars IV: A New Hope differentiates itself from its competitors such as Star Trek and Green Lantern from its varied setting and use of CGI, and from Close Encounters of the Third Kind by its different exploration of alien interaction.

Star Wars IV: A New Hope homework

When Luke Skywalker returns home to see that the evil galaxy-spanning empire visited his planet and killed his family, he embarks on a quest to join the Rebel Alliance and end the tyranny that has kept a tight grip on the galaxy.
I have seen this film.
The main cast of the film includes Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Alec Guinness, and Carrie Fisher. The film was directed by George Lucas, and produced by Gary Kurtz.

Star Wars IV: A New Hope did not play through the film festival circuit.

The official website for the film, as well as the rest of the series is: http://www.starwars.com/
There are also a large amount of reviews on the film, one of the most famous being Robert Ebert's review which can be found at:

The marketing for the movie was rather well done, as it went through several fronts, the most important of which was the preview for the film being shown at the San Diego Comic-Con which helped attract a large amount of science fiction fans to the film. Another important move they made during distribution of the film was forcing theaters to screen this film if they wanted to screen 'The Other Side of Midnight' a film that people were expecting to be very successful.
